VANTAGE, WA – Troopers with the Washington State Highway Patrol responded to a car vs. semi-truck DUI collision on Interstate 90 near Vantage on Monday morning.
According to the official Twitter page of the WSP, the crash happened in the westbound lanes of I-90 near mile marker 126 at 8:43 a.m.
The car rear ended a semi-truck, causing minor injuries to the driver and a passenger, according to Trooper John Bryant.
At 8:43 a.m., this vehicle struck the rear of a semi trailer on WB 90 near MP 126 (10 mi west of Vantage). Minor injuries to driver/pax. Right lane blocked: 2 1/2 hrs. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence, false statements, obstruction, and a suspended license.
Authorities were forced to close the right lane of the roadway for about two and a half hours.
