News: Man struck by Sound Transit train in Seattle’s Chinatown-International

SEATTLE, WA — A man was in critical condition Wednesday evening after being struck by a Sound Transit light-rail train in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District, according to KIRO 7 News.

Seattle fire crews responded to the scene of the collision inside the train tunnel in the 400 block of 5th Avenue South shortly before 6:45 p.m.

The man had to be extricated from the wreck and was evaluated by medics after his removal. He was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.
