News: Authorities investigate fatal pedestrian vs Amtrak train crash in Puyallup

KING COUNTY, WA — A woman was found deceased Saturday evening, March 9, after being struck by an Amtrak train along Spring Street in Puyallup, reports KOMO News.

The fatal incident was reported in the 400 block of the road, prompting a response from Puyallup Police Department officers at around 7:50 p.m.

An investigation remains in progress, but officials said the woman, who was hit by an Amtrak train traveling southbound, was found without signs of life on the train tracks.

Train service was suspended in both directions as the PPD’s Investigative Service Unit (ISU) and the Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an investigation.
