News: 1 dead following 3-vehicle collision on WA 169 near Maple Valley

MAPLE VALLEY, WA – According to FOX 13, a man died in a three-vehicle crash on WA 169 near 201st Pl. SE on Wednesday.

Steven Black, 22, was heading north on WA 169 when he crossed the center line to pass a vehicle and collided head-on with two other cars around 8:55 p.m.

Rescue crews pronounced Black dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

First responders transported a 53-year-old woman from one of the vehicles to Valley Medical Center in unknown condition. The two people in the third car were not hurt in the collision.

Crews blocked the road for over four hours while authorities investigated the collision.

It is unclear if impairment was a factor in the crash.

The Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
