SEATTLE, WA – Authorities were dispatched to a crash Friday afternoon on the West Seattle Bridge near Seattle’s Industrial District, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred on the westbound bridge (Spokane Street Viaduct) near the exit ramp to 1st Avenue South. It was first reported some time before 2:10 p.m.
Little information has been made available, but the right westbound lane was blocked for nearly three hours, suggesting a major wreck and a more involved emergency response.
By 5:08 p.m., crews had cleared the scene, leaving all lanes open to traffic.
